MEDITATION TO BALANCE THE ELEMENTS

The five elements, (Tattvas) are Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Striving to keep the elements within us in balance, will assist in creating harmony within the other body systems.

Bring the hands to the level of the heart, touch the fingertips and thumb tips of opposite hands to touch. Create pressure in the fingertips until the fingers bend slightly. The thumbs point toward the torso and the fingers point away, the fingers are spread wide.

Inhale deeply through the nose, exhale through rounded lips, as though blowing out a candle in 8 equal segments. On each segment of the exhale, pull the navel toward the spine.

To end: inhale deeply and suspend the breath, exhale and relax.

Meditate for 3 – 11 minutes.
